1. Acceptance of These Terms
By accessing the Site, registering an account, or submitting an application, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference. If you use the Site on behalf of another person (for example a minor), you confirm that you are authorised to accept these Terms on their behalf.
2. Who We Are & Eligibility
R-Casting operates this casting platform and the casting calls published on it. To create an account you must be at least 18 years old. Applications for a person under the age of 18 (or the age of majority in their jurisdiction) must be submitted and managed by a parent or legal guardian, who accepts these Terms on the minor’s behalf and is responsible for the information and media provided.
3. The Service
The Site lets you browse creative projects and open casting calls and apply to them online by completing an application form and uploading photos and/or videos. Casting is inherently selective: we do not guarantee that you will be contacted, shortlisted, selected, or cast, or that any particular casting call will proceed. We may add, change, suspend, or remove casting calls and features at any time.
4. Accounts & Registration
You must provide accurate, current, and complete information when you register and keep it up to date. Registration requires confirming your email address before you can apply, and may also require verifying your phone number. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and for all activity that occurs under it. Notify us promptly of any unauthorised use. We may refuse, suspend, or terminate accounts at our discretion, including for inaccurate information or breach of these Terms.
5. Applications & Submissions
Application forms are dynamic and vary by casting call. When you submit an application we issue a unique reference number so you and our team can identify it; keep it for your records. You may apply to more than one casting call. We may accept, decline, shortlist, retain, or remove any application at our discretion, and we may retain application data to build and maintain a talent pool as described in our Privacy Policy.
6. Your Content & Media License
You retain ownership of the photographs, videos, and text you submit (“Your Content”). By submitting Your Content, you grant R-Casting and its casting team, authorised directors, and production partners and clients a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to store, reproduce, adapt for format, and present Your Content for the purpose of evaluating you for, and presenting you in connection with, casting opportunities.
You represent and warrant that you own or are authorised to submit Your Content, that it is accurate, and that it does not infringe the rights of any third party or any applicable law. Where the applicant is a minor, the parent or legal guardian grants this licence and gives these warranties. You may request removal of Your Content as described in our Privacy Policy.
7. Acceptable Use
When using the Site you agree not to:
- provide false, misleading, or impersonated identity or application information;
- submit content that is unlawful, infringing, defamatory, obscene, or harmful, or that you are not authorised to share;
- scrape, harvest, or use automated means to access the Site, or attempt to circumvent its security or access controls;
- interfere with or disrupt the Site, its servers, or other users’ use of it.
8. Communications & Marketing Emails
When you register, you agree to receive service messages relating to your account and applications; these are necessary for the Site to function and cannot be switched off while your account is open. Once you have confirmed your email address, we may also send you occasional campaign emails — such as casting-call invitations, profile-completion reminders, and platform announcements. Campaign emails are optional: you may turn them off at any time, and doing so does not affect your account or your ability to apply.
You can unsubscribe from campaign emails at any time using the one-click unsubscribe link in the footer of every campaign email. Unsubscribing adds your address to a suppression list and stops all future campaign emails, though we may still send you essential service messages (for example, security or application correspondence).
9. Intellectual Property
The Site, including its design, text, graphics, logos, and the R-Casting name and marks, is owned by or licensed to R-Casting and protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Except for Your Content, you may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from the Site without our prior written permission.
10. Third-Party Services & Links
We rely on third-party providers (for hosting, storage, email delivery, embedded maps, and video/media) and the Site may link to external websites. We do not control and are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of these third parties. Your use of their services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies.
11. No Fees
Creating an account and applying to casting calls on the Site are free. We will never ask you to pay a fee to apply to, or be considered for, a casting call. If anyone requests payment in our name in exchange for casting, treat it as fraudulent and contact us.
12. Disclaimers
The Site is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, that any casting call will result in selection or engagement, or that the conduct of third parties (including directors, production partners, or other applicants) will meet your expectations.
13. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, R-Casting and its team will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, opportunity, or profits, arising out of or relating to your use of the Site or your submission of Your Content, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
14. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless R-Casting and its team from and against any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses arising out of Your Content, your use of the Site, or your breach of these Terms or of any applicable law or third-party right.
15. Suspension & Termination
We may suspend, restrict, or terminate your access to the Site, or remove any account, application, or content, at any time and without notice, if we believe you have breached these Terms or the law, or to protect the Site, our users, or third parties. You may stop using the Site at any time and may request deletion of your data as described in our Privacy Policy.
16. Governing Law & Disputes
These Terms and any dispute arising out of or in connection with them or the Site are governed by the laws of Lebanon. You agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Lebanon, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you may have under the laws of your country of residence.
17. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date on this page and post the new version here. Your continued use of the Site after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
